After the September 11 attacks on New York City’s twin towers, life in America changed dramatically and irrevocably for Muslim Americans. Within weeks, angry Americans murdered hundreds of people of Muslim and Arabic descent in retaliation to the attacks, simply because of their race. In this Washington Post article, Muslims voice their opinion that though they are overall satisfied with life, their leaders have not done enough to denounce Islamic extremism.
